H. Nelson Eddy, DDS

Dr. H. Nelson Eddy is a native of South Carolina. He attended college at the University of South Carolina and dental school at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. After graduating dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at Richland Memorial Hospital and maintained a private general dentistry practice for 3 years.

Dr. Eddy continued his education at Boston University, where he completed his Fellowship in Periodontics in 1992. He then returned to the Carolinas and began his periodontal practice. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 1997. This is a distinction that only one-third of practicing periodontists achieve.

He maintains memberships in the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association, North Carolina and South Carolina Societies of Periodontists, North Carolina and South Carolina Dental Associations, and the Charlotte Dental Society. He has served in a number of leadership posts in these organizations.

Dr. Eddy enjoys volunteering his time to various dental missions, both locally and in Central America.

He and his wife, Tricia, have 4 children so his spare time is spent with family. He and his family spend time at the coast where Dr. Eddy enjoys salt water fishing and water sports with his kids. They also enjoy University of South Carolina sporting events.
